The Greek word “gramma”

Found fifteen times in the New Testament, the Greek noun “gramma” meant “something written” or “letter of the alphabet.”  This word is translated “bill” in the KJV (Lk. 16:7-7) as well as “letters” (Jn. 7:15) and “writings” (Jn. 5:47).  In 2 Tim. 3:15 it is rendered “scriptures” in the KJV.
